Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Port Harcourt, Recyclift Limited began with a grassroots mission: going door-to-door in local neighborhoods to collect and separate plastic bottles directly from households. Over time, the company scaled up operations, partnering with informal waste pickers and collection centers throughout the city. Today, Recyclift purchases PET bottles and processes them using its advanced sorting, crushing and cold washing technology.
Operating in Port Harcourt, the company runs around the clock shifts with employees dedicated to sorting, de-labelling, crushing, and washing PET plastics into cold washed PET flakes ready for export. The company currently handles over 100 tonnes of plastic waste monthly. Recyclift also actively supports the “Waste to Cash” initiative, empowering informal collectors and low-income earners by offering stable income opportunities through recycling partnerships.
